Duathlon Details

The Course
XC Ski: We’ll be hitting the groomed trails on the Seven Oaks Golf Course, doing two loops for a total of 6K

Transition: We have a nice flat area for you to drop off your equipment and change to get ready for the run.

Run: You’ll bolt out of the transition and hit a great 5K run course through the Village of Hamilton, the Colgate University campus, and finish up on the Hamilton Village Green.
Relays
Love to run and can’t stand skiing? Big skier who can’t stand the thought of running? No problem. Find yourself a friend and register as a relay team. Or, we can help match you up. To get some help finding a partner, email Charlie at melicharlie@gmail.com

Equipment Rental
Colgate’s Outdoor Education program has a supply of cross country skis that will be available on a first-come-first-served basis to folks who register for the race. Rental equipment will need to be picked up on Saturday, February 20 and returned right after the race on Sunday. The rental fee for skis, boots and poles is $4. Not so bad!

Packet pickup
Saturday, February 20, 9 am to 3 pm, at Adventure Bikes & Boards in Hamilton, on the corner of Broad and Lebanon Streets. The phone number is 315.824.BIKE

Aid Stations
We will have tables set up at the start, transition and finish areas. Since the ski course will be two loops of the same course, we will have water available for anyone who wants to take a quick break and get a drink.

Awards
The top 3 individual and relay finishers will get something special, though at the end of the day this event is all about having fun, right?

What if there’s not enough snow?
If there isn’t enough snow for us to ski, we’ll be having a 10K road race. It’ll still be a boatload of fun, but let’s hope for plenty of snow.mailto:melicharlie@gmail.comshapeimage_3_link_0
